Both Equine Sports Massage and McTimoney Animal Manipulation are complementary therapies, used alongside veterinary treatment, not as an alternative. Due to the restrictions outlined in the Veterinary Act, it is illegal for an animal to be treated by a therapist without the consent of the veterinarian in charge of the animal in question.

As a result of this, veterinary consent must be obtained prior to any treatment being carried out. This can be done simply by phoning the vet that the animal is registered with, or alternatively the details of the vet can be passed on to me and I will contact the vet for you.
